The saints and the Scriptures tell us the connection between the living and the dead is a sacred, special, and significant solidarity. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us…" (~ Hebrews 12:1) This “cloud of witnesses,” also known as the Communion of Saints, not only shows us how to cherish our Savior and live out the Scriptures in our real lives, but they run beside us in the race for our lives. This solidarity between the living and the dead, the Church Triumphant and the Church Militant, is celebrated with the feasts of All Saints and All Souls. But how much do you know about these feasts and this sacred solidarity? Are you aware that the saints encouraged us to be not afraid, to make bold efforts to overcome ourselves, to be patient with each other’s faults and failures, and to play and pray hard! Join us as we enter into this celebration and sacred solidarity via Scripture, story, song, Saint Quotes, and a little trivia to keep you on your toes!
