Hopeful Preparation is the story of St. Elizabeth and St. Zechariah, the mother and father of John the Baptist. Elizabeth and Zechariah have lived their lives in faithful dedication to the Lord, despite their barren state. Although they are advanced in age, they never stop hoping for God to answer their prayers for a child. Carol and Kristen mirror the importance of hope demonstrated by Elizabeth and Zechariah, and profess that true, Christian hope transcends all sadness…all tragedy…all difficult realities. They encourage all to cling to hope, for the Lord, our God is forever faithful.
Hopeful Preparation can be presented in isolation or it can be paired with Patient Preparation and Joyful Preparation to create a three-night Advent Mission.
